Perennial Flowers For Everlasting Beauty Of Gardens

Perennial flowers can be the mainstay of any garden. They are low-maintenance flowers that bloom year after year. Most gardeners plant them to fill their gardens with different hues throughout the year.

There are basically three divisions of flowers depending on the duration of bloom. These are annual, biennial and perennial flowers. Annual flowers are those flowers that have a life cycle of one year and are replaced at the end of the year. The flowers that have a life cycle of two years and are replaced after every two years are called biennial flowers. The third category is of the perennial flowers whose life cycle is longer than two years and some even live up to 1,000 years

Perennial flowers and plants are further classified into two categories- the herbaceous and the woody perennials. Herbaceous plants cover most of our surroundings and dominate them. The woody perennial plants develop into woody structures like trees and continue to live for a very long period of time.

Perennial flowers are the best bet when one plans to set up a garden. Owing to their longevity, they keep the garden beautiful throughout the year. These flowers are available in various colors like red, orange, pink and so on. All these colors make the garden look beautiful and attractive.

These flowers bloom all year round so they are most liked by the gardeners. Apart from this, they are also easy to maintain. The cost involved in the maintenance of these flowers is comparably lower than those involved with other flowers. All they need is regular trimming in order to maintain their attractiveness.

Some examples of perennial flowers are Achillia, Campanula, also known as Bellflower and Centrantheus. All these flowers bloom for a very long period and make the garden beautiful and spell binding.

Their longevity does not mean that that they would continue to blossom without proper care and treatment. Apart from timely trimming, what these flowers need is good soil and fertilizers, sunlight and proper dose of water at least twice a day. A little bit of care would let these plants live longer.

Talking in general, flowers are the best way to express your feelings. They are also the most attractive source of decoration. Perennial flowers serve this purpose throughout the year.

If you are also looking to set a garden, you know which flowers to choose. Growing more perennial flowers and reaping them with care can help in many ways. Happy gardening!
